Gary Jet Center is an aviation services company with two FAA Part 145 Repair Stations, as well as an established aircraft charter and aircraft management department, and an FBO

This position entails supervising and hands-on maintenance of our customer’s corporate aircraft.  We are looking for an experienced individual to oversee and coordinate aircraft maintenance work assignments.  This supervisor position is considered a working position with the expectation to perform work on the aircraft as well as provide leadership for the work activity.  The individual should understand FAA regulations and have a customer centric approach to problem solving.  The individual should have an enthusiastic demeanor with a professional style of communication.  The skill set required to be successful in this role will be supported by experience with corporate class aircraft and strong troubleshooting capabilities. 

Supervisor Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with customer in a professional manner.
  • Provide accurate timely reporting to Maintenance Manager, Customer/Operations of status of in-service aircraft.
  • Coordinate and schedule appropriate start times for personnel to ensure aircraft schedules are met.
  • Supervise and direct activities of personnel assuring all maintenance is completed in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and aircraft briefings as applicable.
  • Review work orders of incoming aircraft to determine labor, parts, and equipment necessary to accomplish the assigned inspection, maintenance, and repair.
  • Maintain a limited parts inventory and assist with requesting needed parts, services or equipment.
  • Assist with completing all required paperwork and closure of Work Orders.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are correctly and accounted for at the completion of work.
  • Provide an “End of Shift” report for work accomplished.


In addition to supervisor duties assist with aircraft maintenance support to include but not limited to the following:

  • Pre and post-flight inspections.
  • Routine service of aircraft systems.
  • Scheduled calendar/hourly maintenance tasks.
  • Removal and replacement of aircraft components.
  • AOG support and unscheduled maintenance troubleshooting/repair.
  • Utilizing current customer maintenance software, provide aircraft return service sign-offs, with documentation and logbook entries for all work performed.
  • Light cleaning of aircraft upon request.
  • Re-stock of aircraft cabin items as needed.
  • Be available for offsite/international support.


Job Requirements

  • Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • 5+ year’s prior experience working in corporate aircraft maintenance is recommended. – Challenger 600 series and/or Boeing 737 experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised in a rapid paced environment while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Demonstrated technical ability on specific airframes and engines in the areas of inspections, maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, and repairs.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.  (Ongoing employment requires participation and compliance with the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program which includes random testing.)
  • Knowledge of advanced avionics systems preferred.
  • Be able to work with a high-level team to accomplish maintenance goals.
  • Must be willing to have work flexibility based on aircraft schedules.
  • Be able to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner.
  • Basic computer skills.  Experience in aviation maintenance software programs. 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess a US Passport and willing to travel international as required.
